Flippin love a hatchback fox body 5.0. My best friend had 3 of them in our early driving days. My sister had a convertible when I was a little kid...white 5.0...white ragtop. ICEICEBABY.
I’m not thinking of getting one, not right now anyway. I was just perusing the no reserve listings from the popular auction sites as usual and saw it.

That bi d button is quite enticing at times....

There shouldn’t be anything guilty about a good foxbody (bad ones yes) ! They have their issues, but there’s literally nothing that can’t be rectified on them.
That’s an exceptionally good car and dare I say deserves every dime it goes for. Inventory on non-clapped out examples has really dried up in recent years and that car has a lot of exactly what you’d want out of a foxbody in 2020.

The prices for good examples are going up, and the condition of the cheaper cars is getting worse. I had a really hard time finding a 5.0 5 speed for under $5k in running condition in my area.
But, I managed to find a ‘84 GT convertible a short drive away. It needs a lot of attention, but it looks great and drives well.

I had a ‘93 LX5.0 hatch way back when, and for the money it was a fun car. As old as that platform is the level of aftermarket support is amazing. (maybe that’s why?)

I honestly would love to be in a position to make a run at this one. I don’t ever recall see ing one in that color.

Just love the sound of these, and every after market exhaust sounds good.

I use to HATE the foxbodys when I was young. Maybe it’s the 80s kick I grew in to, but they’re one of my favorite generations now.

True that. I’m currently shopping around for an exhaust, the stock single setup is starting to fall apart.

I agree mostly, but for me it is the coupe. I’ve always loved those lines.

I’ve always liked the exterior styling of the foxbody, and the engine chassis combo can be potent, but good lord is that interior aby smal.

Haha yeah I think they come from the factory smelling like cigarettes too

Yep, wanted one since I was a kid. This one looks perfect. My ideal Foxstang is a green LX hatchback. Sometimes I think of selling the 911 and just getting a decent Mustang and a family camper truck.

I thought they were pretty ugly when I was younger. Too similar to the disposable 80s cars like the Escort.
Took me a few years of owning one to appreciate them, they’re too fun to hate, and they have a certain simple charm to their design once you get past the “cheap 80s car” image.

Yup, Foxbody, Taurus, Escort, all from that era. Used to loathe them. Now I crave a gen I or II SHO
